Typography

I just came across this old project I did while in Saint Etienne, we had to design a font that was unique to the town. I started looking at street maps (mainly because I always had one with me), I was able to find shapes in the roads and junctions that looked very similar to letters.

Relocation., Relocation.

This was a just a bit of fun for a friend of mine who recently moved house.

Adobe Design Achievement Awards

Yesterday was a good day, after selling a couple of pieces to the Rendez Vous Gallery I received an email for the Adobe Design Awards telling me my renewable energy posters had made it to the semi-finals, if they win I get to go to Beijing! So I posted off the hard copies today, and now I must wait.

VIVA las vegas?

Today our external examiner was back to give some of us VIVAs, don't know what it stands for and don't really know what it was for. One theory was that our grades were undecided and this little chat would help him decide, another idea was just to asses the course. It went ok, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Some highlights from Wrong End of the Stick...

These are some images from my book I have recently finished, the idea behind it was to look at words with double meanings (homonyms) and illustrate them in a variety of different ways. It was really enjoyable to do, but it was a total stress to get printed, but hey it looks ok and lets hope it gets me a pass!Staff (employee)
